Birthday parties & Museums

One of Eleanor's best friend's, Kaitlyn, celebrated her 4th birthday with a fun spring party!
What a great face!
Eleanor always enjoys "helping" her friends unwrap their presents
One rainy Saturday morning, we headed to the Rock Hill Children's Museum to stay dry. This cute princess fairy looks angelic.
We were joined by our good friends & neighbors, the Compton's, whose 10-month-old daughter Maggie didn't mind being dressed up as a pirate

And then they were onto building castles

Green is my favorite color

Because it is the color we all wear on St. Patrick's day (also, my birthday). Eleanor had the best view of the dancers at Rock Hill's annual St. Patrick's Day celebration
Emerson did have a shamrock on his shirt that is hiding in the bjorn
To end the Spring Break fun, we took a family trip to Riverbanks Zoo- Emerson was not happy waiting in line to get inside (he can be an impatient baby somedays)
He preferred to be on Mommy's shoulders, talking to the birds with Eleanor
There is a smile at the gorillas, doing the airplane
My two boys taking a lunch break (and looking so cute!)
Eleanor and I wanted to look as cute as the boys
Eleanor is turning into a little climber, which makes Grandma Gette happy to see that one of my traits is passing onto her!
What a beautiful sunny-day, smiling girl!
Slightly sleepy adorable boy
Daddy & Eleanor having a very serious discussion in the aquarium
Just perfect
Then, we ran into Eleanor's friend, Dominic from school.
They are good buddies
They both enjoyed sitting down on the carousel
Our friend, Katie, was also there and she likes to relax on the tiger
This happy smile is for her second-favorite part of the zoo....
The penguins!
Emerson was happiest at home and eating a mum-mum

Let the Spring Break fun begin!

To kick off Eleanor's spring break, I took the kids to Discovery Place Kids in Huntersville. It is designed for younger kids and Eleanor had a blast! First, there was a puppet show and Eleanor was so sweet to help Emerson sit up (she has always loved ears!)
Next, Ming Ming was feeling sick so Veterinarian Eleanor took care of her
The water table has seats for babies and Emerson enjoyed all the toys.
Of course, he enjoyed putting them in his mouth
It was fun to splash!
Eleanor had fun in the water too!
I think we spent at least half our time in the water

Then, we went onto a real boat where Eleanor was the captain
It is important to wear safety gear! Even if the boat never moves :)
From a boat to a race car, Eleanor took Emerson for a drive
I am not ready for the time when they are really behind the wheel of a car!
Emerson needed a little rest while Eleanor kept playing
Bank teller Eleanor is ready to assist you!
Here is my change from a cute grocery store clerk
We made it to the top of the tower!
Will it sink or float? Thanks to Macfeat, Eleanor knew most of the right answers!
And this one is for Grand Daddy, who helps with her love of tractors

March= Spring Flowers

Eleanor is very excited about planting some flowers for a hanging basket outside her window
Nakia helped her pick out these geraniums
Eleanor has a pink watering can, of course!
Safety first- she uses her helmet to help Daddy shovel the dirt
Does sibling love get any cuter than this?
That smile says it all- Emerson loves his big sister!
He also loves to put everything in his mouth, so nothing is off limits
