More birthdays

One of Emerson's buddies, Sawyer, celebrated his big day in style and we were excited to be there to participate. His mom made delicious orange cream icing on the cupcakes! Way to go, Christy!
Charlie thought the food was delicious!
Emerson wanted to get the toys out of the box and play with them!
Here's Sawyer! Now, we are ready to celebrate Charlie & his special day!
Emerson was ready to take your order & money
Sweet Kiersten is a lucky girl around all our little boys
Emerson & Carter sharing a moment
Gorgeous Lauren is about half a year behind the rest of them but she can't wait to play with them!
Attempts at a group shot are hilarious!
Birthday boy has his feet up in the air!
Pretty close to a great one- smiles on cue will come when they are two :)
Lauren has a good hold on Emerson
Just like Charlie has a good hold on his cupcake
"Where did all that cupcake go?"
I snuck a kiss in although Emerson just wanted more cupcake!

Who is a cute Snow White?

As a result of having a big sister who is into princesses & dress-up, Emerson is lucky to join in the play time as Snow White. He doesn't look too happy about it- I will make sure I do not share this photo with a future girlfriend (but I can't make any promises..)
Eleanor joined in as Cinderella so he is not alone- I have some cute kids!
I believe he is saying, "Seriously, Mom, get this off of me now"
Oooh, distracted by something else!
Eleanor really knows how to pose/curtsy like a true princesses (I wonder who has been teaching her :)

Eleanor's 1st day of school

Eleanor's special request pancakes- shaped like a Christmas tree & candy cane
She has a daily routine of eating her breakfast in front of the TV with her pals, Lightning & Mack this morning
Our sweet 4 year old is a confident school-girl! Here's the post from last year's first day
That grin melts my heart
Back for another year with our wonderful teacher, Ms. Chamberlain
Official Family picture- not sure how Emerson is feeling about his sister going back to school. I think he is really going to miss having her around to entertain him.
Eleanor was so excited to have her neighbor and good friend, Campbell in her class
To celebrate a good first week, Eleanor and Campbell got some ice cream at PW's
Emerson may have gotten a bite of his own, but it's hard to tell

August recap

Yes, I realize I am 3 months behind!! I am trying to get caught up so here we go- these are some of the highlights of August before Eleanor went back to school!
We had a fantastic lunch playdate with some friends we don't get to see that often- the Blackburn's- Christopher & Reagan (on the right) and the Grupp's- Bela & Emma (on the left)
Emerson would rather be in the play kitchen than the real one!
We can't forget about sweet Katie Blackburn also- only 2 months younger than Emerson. I see a great future playmate.
During the warm summer months, the Children's Museum of Rock Hill is a wonderful place to cool down and let your imagination run wild. Emerson was a train conductor
and a stowaway on a pirate ship.
Grocery shopping- not one of my favorite thing to do with both kids. Thank goodness for the car carts to keep them entertained! I am glad that Emerson is big enough to sit in there with Eleanor now.
We brought back some of my old dance costumes from Texas- Eleanor really loved dressing up in them. We look forward to the Spring 2012 when she will be wearing her own costume for her first dance recital!
Post-nap cuddle time
Sprayground cool-down
Eleanor's 1st 100 piece puzzle! It was about different careers and she chose about 10 of them- I have no doubt she will do it all!
It took Emerson all summer but he finally enjoyed the bouncy chairs at the Y waterpark.
This little brother wants to be wherever his big sister is
And Eleanor is happy to be there to teach Emerson everything she knows!
For the last day before school started, we went to Space Kidets for some jump fun.  Emerson found lots of open space to crawl
Eleanor found some big slides to go down
This active girl had a blast jumping up and down
This sweet boy wasn't sure what to think of it, but I think he will be doing it all soon!
Action shot!
Exhausted cutie
