Me and my cousin Mikayla

This weekend, my Aunt Jennifer, Uncle Robert & cousin Mikayla came to visit. I had a great time talking with Mikayla in our own language. I can't wait until we get older and can play together more- she is much more advanced than me. You can tell by this picture that she can sit up on her own, but I need a little help.

Hello Ms. Cow

"Is there a cow on my shoulder?" I love my cow (thanks to Jeanne Pauley in Charlottesville for giving it to me!) because she helps me sleep & she tastes good. Mommy & I went for a nice walk this morning with her friends, Sarah & Sherry plus my friends, Christopher (3), Reagan (1) & Isaiah (2 months). It was a little hot, but the trees helped protect us. Now it's naptime!

Even though my toes barely touch the bottom, I have been checking out my exersaucer. So, Mommy put me in it and I am enthralled by all the colorful, fun toys on it. I want to thank Aunt Erin, Uncle Josh and Matthew Tieman for my exersaucer or activity center, whatever you want to call it. I call it FUN!

Daddy wants to teach me to help out in the kitchen at a young age, so here I am with this thing called a spatula. We didn't make anything- he just wanted to show off my awesome grabbing skills. I also like to hold my blocks and rattle.

My new favorite sleeping position

So, I've been falling asleep after eating and mommy just leaves me on the boppy. For some reason, I don't like taking naps in my crib, so this will have to work for now. It's hard on Mommy because she has to sit right next to me and make sure I don't fall out. It sure is comfortable though!

I am 3 months old today!!

WOW- I'm 3 months old already! My mommy says it has gone by very fast & that she can't believe how grown up I have become. I wanted to show you my tongue, my belly, my feet & hands, and my "I wonder what I want for my birthday" face. Where's my cake?? Mommy also said I was a little eager to celebrate my special day- apparently she wanted to sleep at 4 a.m. and I was ready to party! Luckily, Daddy calmed me down and we all partied together at a more reasonable time of 6 p.m., right before my bedtime.

Happy belated 4th of July

My first 4th of July was pretty exciting. Mommy & Daddy took me to John & Amelia Harper's house for a cookout. I got this cute, patriotic outfit from mommy's godmother, Rita. I can't wait until I'm old enough to watch the fireworks. Mommy and Daddy said there were some out in front of our house after dark- thank goodness it didn't wake me up. It was a lucky day for me because my Grandpa Pope came to visit. He took Mom & Dad to Outback (yummy) and we had some fun playtime. He makes me laugh & tells me all about his baby Samantha, who will lick me whenever I see her. Not sure if I will like that. Thanks for coming to visit, Grandpa Pope! You are welcome to come every month.

Happy 80th Birthday, Great-Grandpa Gette!

Great-Grandpa Gette is so silly! He sticks his tongue out just like me. I'm so glad that I got to go to his birthday party (sorry for sleeping through most of it, Grandpa, but I'm sure you understand.) Also, thanks to daddy for keeping everyone informed of what I am doing- my mommy is a little slow sometimes. She says it's because she has her hands full with me. I try to take naps long enough for her to catch up on things like showering, e-mails & laundry, but most of the time I want to hang out with her. I'm learning to do more things with my hands, like holding my cow that was in a picture with me earlier. He is my sleeping pal. More to come later!

Me & Aunt Leanna

Unfortunately, Aunt Leanna is gone, but we had a great time together! She bought me some new clothes, fed me and put me to sleep one night so my mommy & daddy could go to a movie, and went to a baseball game without me. I can't wait for her to visit again & maybe I can go to the baseball game next time! Thanks Aunt Leanna for a wonderful time!

Hello From North Dakota

Mom and I are in North Dakota for Great-Grandpa Gette's 80th Birthday. Mom says I have been a very good traveler so far. I've enjoyed getting to meet a bunch of new cousins and to see Grandma and Grandpa Gette again. Boy, though, do I miss my daddy!
