Happy Thanksgiving!

We're back from an awesome holiday weekend! It was so wonderful to spend the time with my super-cool family. Thanks to Mimsi (my Daddy's mommy) for hosting the event at her house with so much yummy food, although I really enjoyed eating crackers most of the time! Everyone gave me anything I asked for and wanted :)

Big shout-out to Uncle Dre (and his beautiful assistant, Aunt Heidi), who fried 2 beautiful turkeys- doesn't he look proud?

I feel so blessed to have been able to spend 4 nights hanging out with my adorable 4-month-old cousin, Memphis. She is so much fun, even when she cries, because then I would sing "Twinkle, twinkle Little Star" to try and make her stop.
We also welcomed another addition to the family this year- 3-week-old cousin, Cody. This is a rare picture of him with his eyes open, otherwise he slept through all the festivities. I gave him kisses in his sleep.
What's a trip to Myrtle Beach without a walk by the ocean? I loved picking up shells (although we put them back since Daddy said the sand would wash away without them there) and trying to touch the water. Daddy promised we would come back and swim when it gets warmer.
Cousin Memphis stayed warm and cozy for the short walk.
Back indoors, I found this school bus where I waved good-bye to Mommy, so I could join the other kids at school!
Finally, I spent a great afternoon with my Great-Grandma Azile. She let me play on her lap and give her Halloween candy for hours. Thanks to all my family- I love you all!

Some of my peeps

Again, Mommy apologizes for the delay in my posts. We had a busy couple of weeks- where did the month of November go?? Two weekends ago, we drove up to Charlottesville, VA on Saturday and came back on Sunday, so I got the chance to see my buddies, Maggie & Gracie, plus we had a baby shower for their new sister due around Christmas (to be named Virginia, called Gigi). I had a GREAT time playing with all their cool toys, including a 3-story doll house with it's own elevator- when Mommy came to check on me, I told her to "Go, Mommy, Go" because I was having such an awesome time. Apparently, she did not like this as I shouldn't be saying these this until I'm at least 12 or 13. Here's a picture with Maggie (right) & Gracie (left):This one is Maggie & Gracie's mommy, Lisa (with Gigi in her belly) plus Melinda and of course, my wonderful Mommy :)
The quick trip was sooo exhausting, that I napped while drinking my juice.
I also went back to Monkey Joe's and was much braver this time around. I rode a giraffe and took Mommy through this obstacle course twice (Mommy said her arms were tired after climbing these inflatable rock walls while holding me- maybe she needs more time at the gym!)
To end the week, I spent a morning playing with my new friend, Kaitlyn. Her mommy and mine acually met at church when we were still in their tummies and our birthdays are a couple of weeks apart. Again, I loved playing with her new (to-me) toys and holding hands. We got along very well and never fought over any toys. Mommy was very proud of me and hopes it will continue when I start pre-school in January! I got a sneak preview of my school on Friday and I had a BLAST! I didn't even know Mommy and Daddy had left the room because I was having a great time- actually I threw a fit when I had to leave. But, Mommy reassured me that I'll be back in January on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays- woo-hoo! Catch you later for some Thanksgiving pictures! Have a Happy Turkey day everyone!

Gingerbread cookie time!

At my boyfriend, Landon's, house on Wednesday, I made a couple of gingerbread men. I enjoyed eating the M&M's off the cookies more than anything. Also, we got to paint them- that was pretty cool.
Of course, the best part is eating them! It didn't bother me to take his leg, arm or head.
You got something to say about me wearing my St. Patrick's Day bib still? I didn't think so.

Bear blanket & Turtlenecks

Now that it's getting colder, I'm trying my best to stay warm. I found my old bear blanket that I wore when I was about a week old- do you think it still fits?

Another great way to stay warm is a turtleneck. However, I don't understand why they call it that. When Mommy puts it on me, I say "Turtleneck? No turtle," because I don't see one on my shirt. Can someone explain this to me?

Welcome, Cousin Cody!

My mommy is always a little behind, so only 6 days late, welcome Cody William to the family. His Mommy is Daddy's half-sister, Lauren. We are looking forward to meeting him at Thanksgiving. Best wishes to Cody and his family! (Click here to see a picture of him)

Baby swing to...

...the big girl swing! After enjoying some time on Mommy's lap, I decided to venture to the big girl swing by myself. Also, I went down the big slide 2 times without Mommy's help! Mommy is afraid that she is losing her little baby and I'm becoming a little more risky. I did almost do a flip on a blue whale at the playground and climbed through some other small areas. Mommy said she may get me a helmet, knee and elbow pads for Christmas.
Catch me if you can!!Soon, I'll be figuring out how to climb this twisty thing- look out Mommy and Daddy!

What's up with the weather??

Now that Elmo has taught me to say, "What's up?" (thanks Grandpa and MaGa Gette for the phone!), I thought I'd use it in context. This weather has been up and down so I'm confused on how I should dress for it. At least with a hat, the heat can't escape from my head...What do you think? I picked this out all by myself! Pink & red go together, right?
At least I can practice my Yoga, no matter what the weather outside is like! Anyone up for the Downward Dog with me?
Don't forget the tree pose!

Random Friday & Congrats John!

My godfather, John Harper, passed the South Carolina Bar Exam and we want to tell him publicly- CONGRATS! We're so happy for you. Thanks for the tour of the courthouse while we were in Savannah too- one day, I think I want to be a judge, since I kept sneaking up onto the bench. One day, I'll have a drink with you- for now, it's a sippy cup.
We didn't want to forget and congratulate Amelia too, since she stayed married to John through the whole process! The weather has been beautiful so this bunny has been enjoying as much time outside!

One of many firsts..

We finally did it and got my first mini-haircut. As you can tell it was getting long around my ears and I could almost put a ponytail in the back, but it was sort of uneven. Mommy and Daddy's hairdresser, Shannon, was so great and made me feel comfortable (especially since I sat on Mommy's lap).

Mommy and Daddy were so proud of me for sitting still during the process (what you can't see are the raisins that Mommy was feeding me to keep me there!)
Can you tell the difference between the 2 sides?
I was just crying for my mommy to hold me or maybe I was missing the hair that used to be in my eyes!
Thanks, Shannon, for my first haircut- looking forward to many more!

Battle with a pumpkin

Last week, Mommy and I carved a pumpkin for Halloween. However, I did not want anything to do with it when I saw the insides- ewww, gross!
This thing is heavy!
This is as close I am getting right now.
Mommy is trying to help me feel better about it and it's working.Aren't we a cute couple? Are we making the same face?

Saturday at the Farm

Last Saturday, Mommy had to work, so Daddy and I went to a farm that belonged to one of Daddy's former students. I'm on my tractor and ready to go!
First stop, farm toys in a sand box!
Daddy, is this cow hungry?
It was my first time meeting a donkey- hee-haw (and he was VERY loud). The most exciting part was getting to feed the chickens. This is Susan,Daddy's former student, helping me with the feed bucket.Come back here, chicken! I have food for you!Last stop, cock-a-doodle-doo to the roosters!
