We got our pumpkins!

I love pumpkins! It's so much fun to find the perfect one to take home with us.

Where are you, perfect pumpkin? Some had spots, which were fun to play with; some were white "ghost" pumpkins; and some were just my size.

It's important to inspect the top and bottom. The one I found had a great stem which made it easier to carry. Finally, I carried my baby pumpkin all the way home.

Monkeys & Birdies

We had a busy week of playdates, including Monkey Joe's, an inflatable play area, and a bird-themed morning at our friend Helen's house. Here I am testing out this bouncy thing:
Thank goodness for my friend, Jillian's help, so I didn't fall over. That's one of my boyfriends, Hayden (isn't he cute?!)
Once I got used to it, I tried to "hop".
At Helen's house with her daughter Bella, we made these amazing birdie wings, although I preferred to hold them instead of to wear them.In the bird nest, we enjoyed birdie snacks (although my bowl must have been empty here). To finish it off, we heard a great story that had a birdie in it. We will miss our friends, Helen & Bella, as they move back to Vermont. Thanks for some good memories!

Well, it may not be English & I'm sitting in my outdoor chair inside, but enjoy!

The box is better than what is in it

Sometimes the package is more entertaining than the contents:

ps- Thanks to Grand Daddy Pope and Grandma Teresa for stopping by for a nice dinner. Mommy was sorry she missed it, but thanks you both for the food! Lots of love!

Apple Harvest Festival

Yesterday, we met some friends out at Windy Hill Orchard in York, SC, for the annual Apple Harvest Festival. The weather was perfect- sunny and cool. I got to wear a new hoodie- what do you think?
So, check out the difference between this year and last year. Wow, I've grown!
Which one do I get to take home, Mommy?
Yummy! Apple doughnuts are delicious!
What beautiful flowers!
It's hard to get us all to look the same way- there were too many people to look at for me to concentrate on the camera! Here are my friends, Isaac and Ayla- aren't they cute? Come here, little sheep...
There was a great band playing (Easy Pickins) so I got to show off my dance moves.

I almost forgot another thing! We also got to pick some apples- there were about 7 different kinds and I told Mommy which were the best ones to choose.

Giraffes, camels & pigs, oh my!

While in Texas, I went to the State Fair with Mommy, Grandpa & Ma-Ga (my name for her, in case you were wondering) Gette. We saw so many animals and even got to feed a few of them.
This giraffe was one of my favorites!

Thanks, Grandpa, for getting me up close and personal with the friendly camel. (He ate some of the food out of our cup.)

"This little piggy went to market"...no, Mommy, this BIG piggy is too tired to go anywhere, so I'm going to sing her a lullaby.

Before we left, I rode a boat and drove a car, without an adult!

Don't I look authoritative? I did not like the car as much as the boat- why did they make it go up and down? I enjoyed the smoother waters.

Day with Dad vs. Day with Mom

With Daddy, I get all dirty and have fun doing it! This includes eating, hiking & exploring nature, and playing at the park.

With Mommy, we start out with some magazine reading and then move onto painting with water colors. We also try to work in a trip to the grocery store and Target (our favorite!).

Which day would you rather have? I like the ones with both Mommy and Daddy together!

18 months..Seriously?

Mommy says it's so, but I don't believe it either. I'm 18 months already!?
It's amazing how much I have been able to do in my short life so far. When I was on the airplane last week, some people were asking if it was my first trip and it was fun to tell them I had been on a plane 4 times already! That's an average of once every 4.5 months (mommy likes math).

I haven't told you about my trip to Knoxville at the end of September yet! My Grand Daddy Pope & Grandma Teresa invited me to see a hot air balloon festival at the school that Grand Daddy works at and it was amazing! Here's some highlights of my too-quick weekend trip:We found these water fountains by the Tennessee River & I almost got really wet (Thanks, Grand Daddy!)
There was a train there too, but we weren't there at the right time to ride- maybe for Christmas to see Santa Claus!
I got a ride on Grand Daddy's shoulders to make me "tall".
It helped me to see a dog show that was going on.I had my first taste of funnel cake and loved it!Check out all the balloons behind us!That's the Energizer Bunny with us!And the grand finale, the balloon glow sychronized with music (I was getting tired by this point and rested on Mommy's shoulders.)

Hello Big D!

Can the big "D" (Dallas, Texas) handle Eleanor?? Well, we will see. So far, we've been downtown to visit Grandpa's office (saw lots of pigeons, "coo-coo"), ate at an awesome restaurant called Gloria's (Mexicam/Salvadorian style) to celebrate Aunt Leanna (LeLe)'s birthday, had pictures taken with the family at Portrait Innovations (where Mommy works on Mondays), and enjoyed a delicious Freebirds burrito & quesadilla. I wanted to share with you a few pictures from our photo session. Lots of love from Texas- missing you, Daddy!

Grandpa & Grandma ("Ma-Ga") happily married 35 years
