More Easter Fun

MaGa & Grandpa Gette came to visit over the Easter week and we kept very busy, including planting flowers.
Grand Daddy & Grandma Teresa also made it to help celebrate my birthday early! Nemo was happy to see Grandma Teresa.
Look, we got to use our (MaGa & Grandpa's) china and I even got a real plate!
Everyone was there and happy to be together
I was not really excited about blowing out my candles after my mishap with Daddy's candles (I burned a little bit of my hair):

Then, I opened a gift from MaGa & Grandpa- I love Lightning McQueen!
Check out this cool Easter basket with cars inside!
Thanks to Godmother Erin for this beautiful Easter dress! Don't I look adorable in it?
I even have Lightning pose in my picture with me
It was time for church and we got a nice family Easter picture
I think we all have the same smile in this one- thanks MaGa & Grandpa for being there!
What beautiful Easter flowers!
This was a very special Easter because Daddy became Catholic like me and Mommy. Here is a re-enactment of the baptism since I missed it when I went to the bathroom.
I was very proud of my Daddy, very happy to have Grandpa Gette there to help Daddy become Catholic & very good during a 2-hour mass at 8:00 pm!
Still smiling at 10:00 pm
Up bright & early on Easter morning to see what the Easter bunny had left for me, I found a Curious George basket!
Here's a notebook to start writing my first novel:
And the 2nd Curious George movie!! How exciting!
It wouldn't be Easter without some peeps
Then, it was time to find the hidden eggs- some were easy to spot on my train table
but, others were tricky on the bookshelf- I am going to get you egg!

Zoo Trip

With Grandpa & MaGa Gette here, we went down to Columbia to visit Riverbanks Zoo (thanks to them also for renewing our membership!!) My favorite thing to visit there is the monkeys & I think Grandpa and Daddy love them just as much as I do.
Of course, Georgie wanted to check out the other monkeys too.
MaGa and I were not scared of this tiger
And my favorite spot on the carousel is the big seat so I can share it with someone!
Wow- that is one big snake!
Every visit to the Zoo for me must include a ride on the train- thanks, Grandpa, for joining me!
Believe when I say that the giraffe is taking the food right from my hand in this picture!
Time for a quick posed shot before we hit the road!

Happy Easter!!

Thanks to my Mommy's wonderful mommy group, we were busy with Easter festivities. First, we had an Easter Egg Hunt out at Winthrop Lake and although it was windy & cool, I had so much fun searching for eggs.

Kaitlyn was showing me her eggs so far...
The wind was blowing my hair everywhere
Here's one of my favorite color, pink
Then, I got one of Mommy's favorite color
I was all done once my basket was full!
Since it was too chilly to have the picnic outside, we found shelter in Mommy's car & ate some delicious pizza.
Another day, we dyed Easter eggs at Cherry park, with yet again, cooler weather but beautiful sunshine.
Kaitlyn and I shared our dye
It was fun to make all the pretty colors
I got really good at picking up the eggs
Later, I'll tell you about Grandpa & MaGa Gette's trip for Easter, plus what the Easter bunny brought me!

BBQ Competition

For Uncle Andre's 30th birthday, he wanted to compete in a BBQ competition. Being a certified BBQ judge, he was ready and prepared to give it his all (and he did- it was delicious!) Memphis and I loved playing on the playground nearby and of course, eating BBQ. (For those family & friends not from the South, the BBQ here is Pork- Butts & Ribs in this case with typically a vinegar-based sauce & a yummy mustard one also from Uncle Andre!)

Happy Memphis on the slide
I could eat my cookie and slide at the same time
Grand Daddy loved showing off his granddaughters (and the super-cool logo of Uncle Andre's group, Proud Purveyors of Pork)
Who wouldn't want to get BBQ from these cuties?
Getting my first sample from cousin Robert
Being a good older cousin & helping Memphis eat some (or probably rationing it so I could keep it for myself!)
Another good look at the awesome logo
My neighbor, Campbell, came out to support us and showed off the team logo
The birthday boy, Uncle Andre, with his birthday brownies
I am showing off the logo well too!
Grand Daddy always makes me smile
Not bad for the first competition- #26 out of 32 teams
At Olive Garden to continue the birthday celebration, Memphis couldn't help but double-fist their yummy breadsticks.
And I was happy to enjoy my special treat, Sprite, to drink

Preschool Family Day

For Family day at St. John's preschool, I got to perform with my friends for Mommy and then have snacks. Here are me and Leila getting ready:
This is Kaitlyn and her mommy Kim
It's hard to say cheese when you are eating a muffin!
Warning- the videos may be long and Mommy is laughing throughout them!
The Bubble Gum song-

Months song (I had trouble with the arm motions)-

Tooty-ta, tooty-ta? song (So funny, but long!)-
