Playdates!

To make it through the summer without preschool, Mommy and I have LOTS of playdates. Every morning, I wake up and ask Mommy, "What are we doing today?" I am very social girl and need to get out, which so does Mommy so it works best for both of us.

We had to say good-bye to some of our best friends though- Emily, Issac & Ayla moved to Kentucky for Matt's new job. We miss them like crazy, but look forward to a visit after baby boy Pope arrives, plus some webcam time when Emily gets one!
Since I love trains & trucks so much, I tend to enjoy playing with boys more (also, they tend to listen to me when I am bossy :) We went swimming with Brady & Riley and were relaxing afterwards watching some George.
My friend, Kaelin, hosted a Tinkerbell movie playdate so we got to dress up for that one! I am a little shaky walking on heels, but I hope to get the hang of it one day.

Roar.. It's Tiger World!

We took a field trip with Mommy's group to Tiger World in Rockwell, NC- it was a field trip because it was almost an hour there! Thanks to our friend, Lori, who drove us and let me sit on her stroller with Zoey & Cavik.
First, there were birds to check out who were very talkative.
Then, this cute little monkey entertained us with amazing climbing skills
George liked them too
The beautiful white tiger, only a year old, was checking us out very closely
I was ready to climb right into his cage with him!
Enjoying a ride to cool down, although it was hard to do that!
The bears were so BIG in person!
Yes, that's a lion & a tiger snoozing together- we learned that if they are put together in a cage at birth, that they will remain friends although they are usually enemies.
Baboons are wild animals and this one was ready to escape from his pen!
The peacock was not contained and BEAUTIFUL!
Don't worry, it's just a statue of a lion, not a real one
We finished it off with a nice picnic lunch, although the flies were trying to join us & it was HOT. Next time, I think we'll go in the fall!

Bubbles Time

Thanks to my favorite babysitter, Kimberly, for bringing over a great bubble wand! It makes some BIG bubbles..First, I have to get adjusted to the big wand-
Give it a nice shake for the best results
Or blow hard!
Don't forget to get every last bit of the bubble mix
And then strike your favorite pose! I call this my Statue of Liberty :)

Beach Trip with Daddy

Speaking of my wonderful Daddy, he took me to Myrtle Beach a couple of weeks ago while Mommy went to Nashville to visit Godmother Erin. Mommy was grateful for the weekend away and I had a blast with Uncle Andre, Aunt Heidi, cousin Memphis, Grand Daddy Pope and all the doggies.

Uncle Andre and I cuddling on the beach
I brought along my sand toys to play!
Thanks to Memphis for loaning me a hat, so the sun stayed out of my eyes
I had so much fun digging in the sand!
Back at Memphis' house, we had lots of fun in the playset
Mommy looks nice and relaxed heading out to a concert with Godmother Erin

Happy belated Father's Day!

The wishes are late, but they are still strong! I want to wish my Daddy a very HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!! I wanted to make the day after Daddy's day also. I adore my Daddy- I can't wait for him to get home from work so I can play with him & he is the first one I see in the morning. He takes great care of me and Mommy. Thanks Daddy for all you do for us!

We made Daddy some yummy brownies for his special treat. We also went to Books-a-Million together and each got some new books. Even though Daddy picked his own books, we still wrapped them for him.
He is a happy Daddy!

Sweet Treats

Thanks to Dunkin Donuts for the free donut on National Donut day! I picked a strawberry one with sprinkles. It's lick-your-lips-good!
We also celebrated Ethan's 2nd birthday with a fun pool party!
What would a birthday party be without cake?! Ethan had a cool doggy-shaped one!
My new friend, Lola, and I really enjoyed the messy chocolate cake.
Mommy says these are really sweet, but she is the only one in the house to try it- it's her first tomato off her plant!

Reading a good book

Of course, any Curious George book is my favorite & this is an excerpt from the movie book (I enjoy hanging out in Mommy & Daddy's closet too)

The big finish

Playground Fun

Before the real summer heat comes our way, Mommy & I spent some time at the playgrounds around town. We have a great time meeting Mommy's friends out there and playing various games.

Here, my friends Jacob & Andrew were playing a game of sticks with me. Even though they are both older than me, I was definitely telling them what to do!
Not sure what Andrew was telling me about, but it looks like he is showing me a boo-boo on his knee or something
Kaitlyn & I thought this was a good 2-person swing, but as you can tell, we are about to fall off
It may look like I was hitting Brady, but I was probably wiping something off his face
Now this is one of my most favorite things to do!
Kaitlyn & I were showing off our awesome balancing skills and beautiful smiles!
Now, it's getting hot, so we are spending more time indoors or in a pool! I wasn't even in a pool here, I just sweat, especially wearing a helmet and riding my bike!

Charlottesville pals

We visited with the Little family too- Lisa, Maggie, Gracie & baby Gigi opened up their house to us and showed us a great time!

Maggie and I enjoyed our food at Mellow Mushroom (plus watching sports on all the big screen TV's)
Gigi ate too, although she had bananas and animal crackers
They took us to a cool sprayground at Greenleaf Park- I wasn't sure of the water though
It took me awhile of checking it out to warm up enough to go in- thanks to Gigi for loaning me one of her bathing suits!
Gigi preferred chillin' in the shade
Not sure what I was saying here, but I look very vocal, don't I?
Maggie is a great big sister who comforts her little sister when she is sad
Gracie and I had so much fun together & we really like to hug!
After a delicious meal at Sticks, it was time to head back to Rock Hill- thanks again to the Little girls for a fun time!
